The French-Slovenian Business and Innovation Days are a flagship event organized each year by the French Embassy in Slovenia, in collaboration with the Spirit agency and business clubs in France and Slovenia.
For 2025, hydrogen and artificial intelligence have been identified as key sectors for strengthening and diversifying partnerships between France and Slovenia. These themes are no accident: they embody the shared ambitions of both countries to shape an innovative and sustainable future.
Hydrogen: a shared vision for a low-carbon future
In Slovenia, hydrogen has become the cornerstone of the energy transition. The creation of the Society 5.0 consortium - The Future with Hydrogen, the development of the Northern Adriatic Hydrogen Valley and numerous regional initiatives supported by Slovenia's participation in various Interreg programs illustrate this dynamic.
Artificial intelligence: innovative ecosystems
Slovenia stands out for its dynamic artificial intelligence ecosystem, supported by leading institutions such as the International Research Center for Artificial Intelligence (IRCAI) and structured initiatives such as the national AI4SI strategy. Strongly supported by the European Union, the country encourages the growth of startups, collaborative projects and ethical technologies, particularly in industrial applications and green technologies.
