Together with Artelia, Tenerrdis organized a day on the safety of floating PV parks, including a visit to the Artelab laboratory, which models infrastructure behavior in the face of potential existing risks.

Context

Following on from the working group on floating photovoltaics launched in 2024 at the Open Energies trade show, Tenerrdis has continued discussions with industry players to remove a major lock on the development of floating PV parks: the difficulty of convincing insurance companies to cover the risks of their project.

The course of the event

Artelia was able to present the CINOV project that financed the work on the Artelia platform, financed by the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Region and Bpifrance as part of PIA3 and accredited by Tenerrdis ๐Ÿ‘‰ https://lnkd.in/dSYBJMMi

ARaymond talked to us about its experience in modeling a sample of one of its parks, tested thanks to the Artelab (physical and digital modeling) in order to draw lessons for its global park in terms of installations and equipment.and digital modeling), with a view to drawing lessons for its global park in terms of installations and equipment.

The Comité Français des Barrages et Réservoirs (CFBR) (French Committee for Dams and Reservoirs) presented the various standards and criteria to be met when installing a park on a dam lake. In particular, they stressed the importance of taking into account the specific risks associated with dams before authorizing them, as the potential in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region is enormous.

Several companies came to present their services and solutions: Ciel et Terre presented the various solutions it offers as a supplier of floating PV technology, anchoring and mounting systems for the floats and the power plant, as well as the tests that had to be carried out in terms of quality and safety. ALT'ANCRE presented its anchoring and foundation solutions, and the associated studies and tests. Kapteva presented its services for monitoring power plants and ensuring their structural integrity.

The OWC consultancy firm provided us with feedback, in particular on the study of the installation of parks on quarry lakes.

Finally, the INES - Institut National de l'Energie Solaire PFE shed light on the various skills and training courses available in the FPV sector

.This was followed by a visit to the famous Artelab laboratory, where a large number of these innovations can be tested by analyzing the behavior of different technologies in the face of real risks.

Many thanks to all the speakers and participants who contributed to the discussions with their own particular issues. Thanks to Artelia for hosting us and helping us organize this event, and thanks to the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Region for supporting our activities.

Love it
