On June 25, in Vaulx-en-Velin (69), SerenySun and INEA inaugurated "Notre Énergie La Soie", the largest renewable energy community in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region.

In eastern Lyon, the new-generation Les Portes de La Soie business park, located in the commune of Vaulx-en-Velin, is ready to welcome the region's largest renewable energy community. On Tuesday June 25, SerenySun, a gas pedal of short energy circuits, and INEA, a specialist in tertiary real estate in the Regions and leader in Green Building, are inaugurating " Notre Énergie La Soie", a large-scale collective self-consumption operation. The project will enable its beneficiaries, both professionals and private individuals, to benefit from the advantages of short energy circuits.

The locally-produced solar energy will be consumed primarily by INEA tenants, and will also supply professionals and private individuals who, because of their geographical proximity, can join the community. With 1,530 photovoltaic panels installed on the roof, annual production - 690 MWh - is equivalent to the average annual consumption of 155 households.

With just a few weeks to go before commissioning, scheduled for July, local players, project partners and the first beneficiaries were keen to be present alongside Donald François, President and founder of SerenySun, and Karine Dachary, Executive Vice President of INEA, to show their support for this local project.Donald François, President and Founder of SerenySun, and Karine Dachary, Deputy Managing Director of INEA, to lend their support to this local project: Mathieu Fischer, Deputy Mayor for the Environment, Ecological Transition and Urban Planning of Vaulx-en-Velin, Frédéric Fournier, Executive President exécutif d'OSER ENR Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes et Marine Favier, Conseillère Grands Comptes Énergies Renouvelables & Institutionnels à la Banque La Nef. Philippe Guelpa-Bonaro, Vice-Chairman of the Metropole of Lyon, is also one of the supporters of this initiative in favor of the energy transition. Finally, Tunzini MN, a tenant of the business park, and nearby Cirque Imagine are among the first to benefit from this green energy "made in Vaulx-en-Velin".

AN AMBITIOUS ENERGY TRANSITION PROJECT

" For SerenySun, it's a great source of satisfaction to bring together local players and inaugurate, in the heart of the Lyon metropolis, the largest renewable energy community in terms of power and diversity of beneficiaries in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region. renewable energy community in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region. Energy needs are growing, and the energy transition is everyone's business. SerenySun's ambition is to accelerate short energy circuits. Producing renewable energy in urban areas and sharing it with as many people as possible is now possible thanks to collective self-consumption. Large-scale projects like this one, "Notre Énergie La Soie", will help us meet the challenges of the energy transition. We plan to duplicate this virtuous model, not only in the Lyon region, but also in other areas" , explains Donald François, President and founder of SerenySun.

" INEA and SerenySun have signed a partnership agreement to deploy renewable energy communities and meet consumers' needs as closely as possible. For INEA, the aim of this partnership is both real estate and environmental. In terms of real estate, the solarization of its properties will above all benefit its tenants, who will have guaranteed access to green, local electricity, offered at an advantageous rate and controlled over time. On the environmental front, INEA's ambition is to increase its contribution to carbon neutrality through the production of renewable energy. After the first two energy communities developed by SerenySun in Vaulx-en-Velin and Toulouse on two business parks owned by INEA, the first phase of this partnership will concern the production of renewable energy.the first phase of this partnership will involve nine office buildings in Marseille, Montpellier, Toulouse and Bordeaux, and four new business parks in Bordeaux and Ile-de-France. These energy communities will be commissioned between late 2024 and mid 2025", explains Karine Dachary, INEA's Deputy Managing Director.

BENEFITS OF SHORT ENERGY CIRCUITS

  • Act locally and collectively to promote the energy transition.
  • Promote local energy resilience.
  • Democratize access to local green energy, without investment.
  • Control energy costs thanks to a stable electricity tariff over the long term.

KEY FACTS - FIRST PHASE OF THE PROJECT

  • Photovoltaic power plant installed on the roofs of 4 buildings
  • 1,530 photovoltaic panels installed, representing 2,900 m² of solarized surface area
  • Total output: 670 kWp
  • Energy output: 690 MWh/year, equivalent to the average annual consumption of 155 households
  • Commissioning of the collective self-consumption operation: July 2024
