What is the Solar Club?

The Club solaire métropolitain was created by the Metropole de Lyon and the AuRA Digital Solaire, a regional association of solar energy professionals, with financial support from Enedis, to accelerate the development of solar energy production projects.

For whom?

All players in the Greater Lyon area:

  • Solar power plant project owners: owners of buildings / parking lots / land - including local authorities and social landlords,
  • economic players in the solar industry,
  • representatives of these players, trade associations, consular chambers, expert bodies, etc.

What's involved?

The aim of the Club is to provide project leaders with the tools and networking they need to bring their projects to fruition more quickly and successfully. It fosters synergy, cooperation and mutual assistance between players, with the aim of capitalizing on and sharing operational tools and methods.
The Club solaire métropolitain not only acts as a resource center to provide guidance and tools for project developers (monitoring, benchmarking, analyses, studies, guides, action sheets, etc.), but also plays a facilitating role to encourage exchanges.

In concrete terms?

The Club solaire métropolitain provides simple information on "why and how to go solar", enabling project developers to better understand, identify and formalize how to develop solar projects.

The different ways in which it works with project developers are :

  • organization of working groups,
  • creation of webinars and conferences,
  • provision of standard documents, recommendations, etc.
  • distribution of calls for projects, calls for expressions of interest, public tenders, etc.
  • site visits
