The HydroES 2025 symposium is part of a series of conferences organized by the Société Hydrotechnique de France (SHF) over the past fifteen years, with the support of numerous French and European partners and sponsors. The theme of the 8th session is: "Hydropower, innovation & resilience".
|
This symposium is aimed at all players in the water and hydropower sector (scientists, academics, institutions, industrialists and design offices).
It will be organized in 4 sessions over 2 days: September 17 and 18
► SESSION 1
Climate change (Adaptation & Mitigation):
Pressures on water resources (melting glaciers, water temperatures, drought, etc.), resilience strategies in the face of extreme events, review of engineering practices in project design, technological innovation, etc.
► SESSION 2
Energy transition and water resource management :
Energy efficiency, new hydrometeorological forecasting tools, optimization of production and water resources, flexibility and the role of hydropower in the energy mix, reduction of the carbon footprint and the role of hydropower (gravity development and STEPs) in the energy transition, marine energies, reconciliation of uses and consultation, future solutions, etc.carbon footprint and the role of hydropower (gravity-fed development and STEPs) in the energy transition, marine energies, reconciling uses and consultation, solutions for the future, etc.
► SESSION 3
Digital transformation and modernization of Operations :
Evolving operations/maintenance practices (telecontrol of development chains, factory 4.0, digital twins...), the role of new sensors and existing communication protocols for facility and environmental monitoring, new-generation modeling systems capable of integrating new data sources, artificial intelligence and Big Data : best practices for operational implementation and decision support...
► SESSION 4
Issues and challenges facing the hydroelectric fleet
Ageing structures and equipment, sediment management, fish continuity, new legal, environmental and social constraints, etc.
