Objectives
1. Identify appropriate heat pump technologies (electric and gas) for waste heat recovery.
2. Evaluate the potential for energy savings and CO2 emissions reduction using a heat pump.
3. Analyze industrial feedback and integration opportunities for utilities and processes.
Target audience
Engineers and technicians from the energy, environment, maintenance, new works and production departments, as well as anyone who has to deal with energy purchasing and management issues within the company.
Prerequisites
Technical knowledge of the company's heating and cooling processes and stations.
Program
Thermal energy: quantities, units, transfer modes
Electric, absorption and hybrid heat pump technologies - standard and high-temperature technologies
Assessing the energy potential of waste heat: where to recover, how to recover waste heat using a heat pump, the advantages and drawbacks of recovery using feedback from industry (recovery from utilities, industrial fumes, etc.).
Financial assistance for investment: CEE and Fonds Chaleur.
Training methods
- Theoretical presentations
- Training aids given to trainees
Instructor(s) :

Trainers' experience in heat pump certification and in various industrial sectors
At the end of the course, the trainees will take part in a multiple-choice test to assess their knowledge.
