Batteries on show at the Musée des Arts et Métiers in Paris
Until August 31, 2025, the Musée des Arts et Métiers museum's permanent exhibition features a scientific and societal look at batteries.
From mine to factory, "Batteries" plunges us into a fast-growing industrial universe, inviting us to manipulate objects to better understand their mechanisms. In four thematic sections focusing on their production, operation, uses and the ensuing debates, the viewpoints of various players in the industry come together to examine their political, economic and societal impacts. How far will batteries enable us to drive, to take part in the energy transition, and at what cost?
Created as part of the Ecole de la Batterie project, this exhibition is supported by the Musée des Arts et Métiers & the Conservatoire National des Arts et Métiers.
Starting in September 2025, this exhibition will travel to various locations in France to disseminate scientific knowledge and societal issues on the subject.
This operation is supported by the French government as part of the AMI "Compétences et Métiers d'Avenir" (Skills and Professions of the Future) of the France2030 Program, operated by the Caisse des Dépôts Group.
